A MIND OF IT'S OWN

Writing a blog is so much like painting. It is an empty space, waiting for creation. Your mind develops a thought and when the time comes for application it takes hold with A MIND OF IT"S OWN!!!!!

WHAT DO YOU SEE?

Another reason to go to NOMA is to SEE "The Mind's Eye".......... abstract art from the permanent collection of prints and drawings ....New Orleans Museum of Art. I think abstract art is everything painted into one.....and then it becomes itself. Open your eyes around your world and really examine it.

I came in contact with a wonderful specimen yesterday as it crossed my jogging path. A praying mantis! The whole jog was concentrated on what I viewed from a mind's eye. What a surprise to see a praying mantis. This insect has two compound eyes and three other simple eyes located between them. Image their world of sight!! Power of Suggestion

"The Art of Caring".........Powerful is just a common word to use but the only one that comes to my heart. The exhibition at NOMA will slowly move you into another emotion.....wanting to CARE. My suggestion just might give alittle power to you too, and it is free if you are a NOMA member or a Louisiana resident......courtesy of the Heils Foundation. The exhibition and community partner days opened in May and will close October 10....so there is still time. Go and be moved to a powerful emotion thru photography!

Whenever I do not know what to do or where to go for week-end fun or just a place to eat...I have a remedy. Put names and places of where you want to go....the more the merrier....on small torn pieces of paper...put into a pot....mix them up...and pull out something....you now have your week-end or restaurant choice by POT LUCK!!! Floating

I just read the Blogger Terms of Service and I agreed to the terms that I really did not understand but I am jumping in anyway!!! I am not a writer nor do I claim to be. This just creeps out of me bit by bit. It is a lot like learning to swim...you get in the water first.....and just try to float. I have already lost the first post because I did not save it but I will this ONE. Of course the first one was better!!! Who only knows where this will take me but I must say I have always been under a spell of New Orleans and it really has influenced me in my life. I will wander around in all different directions...sometimes you may need a guide.....but that's what Love does to you.....it makes you dizzy, breathless, excited, hopeful, you have need to tell people . So I am floating and telling!!!!!
